You Aint Too Chubby For Me! My Review of the Clinique Chubby Stick Intense

Hey Everyone!
So in honor of my birthday being tomorrow, I decided to treat myself to a Sephora visit today during my lunch break. I was a little disappointed that a couple of the items I wanted were out of stock; that is until I made my way over to the Clinique display racks. I have been DYING to get a chubby stick for some time now, and I felt, no time better time than the present :) I was super impressed with the quality, and I will definitely be going back to snag "heftiest hibiscus," which was my other favorite color from the "intense line."

First let's talk about the packaging of this chubby delight. It comes in this really adorable packaging that has spring colors and flowers all over the box (very green/earthy feel that makes me feel like this a really great quality product). True to it's name, the lip pen is a chubby stick with the twist up lip color (really nice that it doesn't need to be sharpened). The lid stays on pretty securely, but doesn't have a lock in place action like many lipstick caps do. It may be wise to keep it in the box it came in if you are planning on having it in your purse where the cap can come off and ruin the inside. But enough about what it looks like, let's move onto the fun part ;)

This product is pretty much INCREDIBLE. I purchased my supreme favorite color I tried out today, "05 plushest punch." The color is intense indeed, and equally as beautiful on my lips. It is a beautiful magenta color that applies so smooth and moisturizing and stays moisture rich over an extended period of time. I feel that this formula gives my lips a but of a plumping and fuller effect; I'm thinking maybe because I am essentially making a nice sharp line around my lips. I think what I am most impressed with is that this lip color lasted through eating a meal and still remains pretty intense in color and moisture on my lips. The only complaints I have about the chubby stick is that it does have a bit of a staining effect on the lips and you have to be pretty careful when you apply it so you don't get color outside of the lips and it's expensive ($16). I would rate the Clinique Chubby Stick Intense at a 9/10 :)
